Step One-. Develop rigorous criteria/Sucess Criteria
Lesson- How will you judge if your project has reached the goal you set?
Activity- Use this chart to establish the criteria you will use to evaluate the SUCCESS of your project.
Process Journal Prompt-
What criteria are you going to use to evaluate your product/outcome? (What criteria have you developed to
assess the success of your project?)
a. Why did you choose these criteria?
b. Why do you feel that it is rigorous?
c. Why did you choose these and how will they demonstrate your development throughout the process?
Step two- Timeline for completion/Development Process
Lesson- Create a timeline for creating your project and writing your report. This can be a detailed
timeline, calendar, or a to-do list-. Please know it is okay to adjust your timeline.
Activity- Please use this Timetable Infographic to create your timeline.

a.Will you be able to stick to this timeline?
b. Why or why not?
c. What adjustments can you make to the timeline as you worked to finish the project? Why?
d. What time management strategies will you use to complete the project?
e. What will be easiest for you to accomplish?
f. What will be more difficult for you to accomplish?
Step three- Self Management Skills
Lesson- Self Management Skills Infographic
Being prepared with criteria to accomplish and a timeline to work within always helps when you are setting long term goals.
Anticipating road blocks and planning how to overcome these disappoints before beginning are self- management skills that can contribute to the successful completion of your project.
Process Journal Prompt-
Reflect on your self-management skills in the planning process.
a. What road blocks do you see happening as you work to complete your project?
b. How will you overcome them?
c. Will there be times that you will not want to finish the project?
d. What will help you keep going?
e. What will frustrate, anger, or stress you out, etc.? how will you deal with these emotions?
f. Will there be time when you think that the project may fail?
g. How will you deal with this and persevere?
h. Who will you turn to for help & support while doing the project?
